Senior Playground

While seeking feedback from students about how to better our school, Miss Miller was overwhelmed with demand for a senior playground. Unbeknownst to her, at the same time one of our resourceful seniors was already creating a petition for a senior playground to be build, which garnered the support of over five hundred signatures!

After an inspirational speech presented by this student at a P&C general meeting, the members voted to support this vision by fully funding a senior playground. Given the hard work put in by this grade six student, it was acknowledged that this project must go full steam ahead so that they have the chance to see their ideas come to fruition.

The school has been working hard at gaining input from the seniors as to what they would like to see included in their new playground. Developments are discussed at each P&C meeting, and any families and community members who would like to have their say as to what is included in this project are more than welcome to come along! All community members can join the discussion, however to vote on decisions you must be a member - to join, simply fill out the membership form.

P&C meetings are held at OSHC on the fourth Monday of every month during school term at 7pm, and Teams links are distributed to those requesting to attend online by emailing secretary@mcdowallsspc.org.au.
